Cozumel – 1983<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first trip overseas was in a private plane my Dad flew to the Bahamas. I remember looking in awe at the power plant across the water all night. This image was later realized in Jimmy Buffet’s tune Ma\u00f1ana<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Called all my friends on those cheap nightly rates
Sure was good to talk to the old United States
While the lights of St. Thomas lie twenty miles west

Funny, the things I remember. Anyway, I have visited and done some diving several times since on vacation. <\/p>\n\n\n

I have visited Jamaica, the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Turks and Caicos, Bonaire, Honduras, Belize, Nevis, and Mexico. The romantic lure of the islands still has me in its grips \ud83c\udf34.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
