Grand Canyon

I have made many trips over the years to the Southwest. I have to say it’s my favorite place anywhere in the world I have visited so far. I find something compelling about the vastness largely devoid of man’s footprint.

Southwest Tour

This was the original tour I did in 1992. I stopped at the south rim of the Grand Canyon. I also stopped at the Petrified Forest National Park and Mesa Verde in Colorado.

Grand Canyon by Helicopter

Utah Tour

The first time I drove into Utah at Moab, I was stunned at how far you could see. The rock formations are indescribable—raw nature on display. Indeed, there is nowhere else like it. These shots are from the early 1990s taken on trips through the stunning parks in Utah.

Spring Mountain

The Spring Mountain area is west of Las Vegas at the south end of the Red Rock Canyon area. Nearby is another trail called the Rainbow Garden Loop. I visited during Excellent Adventure 2023 in the late Spring time frame. The color was spectacular from the heavy rains earlier in the year.

Great Basin National Park

I visited here in 2026. Known as one of the least visited parks due to its remote location, Area 51 is just south of here! Also included are shots of the Lehman Caves located in the park.
