Bright Angel Point – North Rim of the Grand Canyon – Excellent Adventure 2021
I have made several trips over the years to the Southwest. I have to say it’s my favorite place I have visited so far. I find something compelling about the vastness largely devoid of man’s footprint.
Arizona
I took a road trip to the Grand Canyon’s south rim while living in Colorado in the 1990s. More recently, we visited the North Rim on Excellent Adventure 2021.

Utah
Valley of the Gods and Moki Dugway
Nearby to Monument Valley in Utah to the east. We drove down the Moki Dugway on our way here. Valley of the Gods is southeast of it.
The first time I drove into Utah at Moab, I was stunned at how far you could see. The rock formations are indescribableβraw nature on display. Indeed, there is nowhere else like it.

Spring Mountain
The Spring Mountain area is west of Las Vegas at the south end of the Red Rock Canyon area. I visited during Excellent Adventure 2023 in the late Spring time frame.
Valley of Fire
The Valley of Fire is northeast of Las Vegas. I visited during Excellent Adventure 2021 in the late Spring time frame.
